ABOUT ME

I am a Michigan State University student studying Interior Design. As a junior in the program, I am adept at multi-tasking and developing creative solutions. I am driven to bring customized design concepts to life in order to guarantee satisfaction.

Since the sixth grade career fair at my elementary school I have had great interest in becoming an interior designer. Through research I did as a 12 year old, I realized just how much my work could and would matter in the daily lives of many and how I could affect others through creativity and problem solving. Since starting this program at MSU, I've been trying to find my niche in design and narrowed my main focus down to healthcare and commercial design, while still having an active interest in other areas as well.

Early on I knew how important networking was in the interior design world. Since then, I have tried to become involved more with others, including the school. Currently, I am an active member in the IDSO (Interior Design Student Organization) club on campus where students learn more about the interior design profession and how to get more involved. This allows for a chance to get to know others, and learn from each other as we all go through this growing stage. I have also wanted to learn more about the business end as well, so I run a custom sign business as well which allows me to express my creativity and work with customers on reaching an end product.

I am a personable and driven individual focused on creating quality end products while working with others and expressing my creativity. I believe that there is always more to learn and that design is continually progressing.
